After Two Years, Facebook is Still the Hype at Work

Two years ago my colleagues pestered me to create a Facebook account so we could see the faces of our counterparts in the United States as well as in India. Working as a customer service representative for a Fortune 500 company means that we get to communicate with technical support located in various parts of the world. Anna who has been very curious as to how the duty managers look like discovered that they were all in Facebook and that started the Facebook craze. Even before I got caught up with the craze I have heard several times people asking where to find Facebook help change profile picture on the FAQs section. Or how to unblock a friend, how to edit top friends, how to invite someone to play a game and so on. Up till now Facebook still seems to be the hype over at work and gatherings are now planned in Facebook, so basically you're a loser if you don't have a Facebook account since you would not be updated with the latest happenings. Crazy right?

Using Humor to Prime Your Brain

We all get in routines during our daily lives. We might be in the routine of running every morning or watching television every night. The moods that we feel are also a routine. We might be constantly happy, constantly stressed, constantly sad or constantly worried. Everyone has their own emotional routines. If you are like many people, you want to change this part of your life. You want to feel happy more often than you currently do. The great thing is that you can use funny videos to achieve this in your life. The way it works is that you train your brain to feel certain things so that it will be more likely to feel them later on. Here we will talk about how this works.

Your brain has chemicals inside of it called neurotransmitters. These are released across the synapses of your cells whenever you feel certain things. There are different neurotransmitters for the feelings of joy and elation than there are for feelings of sadness and anxiety. When you find some really funny humor, your brain is releasing neurotransmitters accordingly. The more it releases the neurotransmitters that are associated with laughter and humor, the more likely it is going to be to release them in the future.

It is similar to the phenomenon of priming, a word often used in psychology. For instance, if I tell you to look for all the things that are blue in the room you are in, you may notice some details that you had not noticed before. You may notice that there are many blue things. If you immediately walk into another room, you will notice blue things there as well. This is because your brain was “primed” to see the blue objects. It is similar when it comes to the idea of things being funny.

The more things that you see as funny, the more things you are going to think of as funny later on. You might look at some very funny pictures for a half an hour on the internet. After that, you might go for a walk through your neighborhood. While you are on your walk, you are going to notice more things that are funny just like the pictures. This is because of priming.

It is simple to work with your moods. You can train your brain to see things as being funny just by making sure you look at some funny things each day! This is a wonderful thing to do. It can help your brain feel happy more often because you are intentionally finding situations that make it feel that way. The more funny pictures and videos you find the better! Try to m ake some time to look at them every day so that you will be in a good mood more often.

Online Casual Games Versus MMORPGs & Mahjong

Online casual games like mahjong and Tetris are played by many people to pass time by. There is also what they call MMORPG or Massively multiplayer online role-paying games. Though both are played with the use of a PC and a stable internet connection, it is very different from each other.

For instance, Mahjong online uses basic and simple instructions that any player can understand easily. It uses simple graphic designs to make it uncomplicated to play. MMORPG uses high-end technology graphics and sounds and is a bit complicated for most people. The rules between the two categories are very different as well. In addition, the time spent by mahjong online players and MMORPG gamers are completely different. Mahjong online players may only need up to 15 minutes for them to finish and win the game; for MMORPG gamers, it may take a lot of time for someone to achieve their “missions” to move on to another level. Mahjong online games only use one tool to play: the 152 white tiles with different Chinese characters printed on them. MMORPG games use a lot more tools and may even need very complicated game tactics for someone to finish it.

Though these two game categories have a lot of differences, their aim is absolutely the same: to give online gaming satisfaction to their players and make sure that each and every one of them is enjoying their stay.
